Account file
An invitation code is a coupon package with a story.
Search results are full of pages publishing "the working LitBuy invitation code". Most of them are affiliate pages recycling the same expired string. This page does the opposite: it explains what the code does, where it goes, and how to tell whether a code is still alive before you hand over an email address.
What a code actually unlocks
A LitBuy invitation code usually attaches a newcomer package to the account: several freight coupons with different minimum thresholds, sometimes a temporary account level, and occasionally a first-order discount on a specific line. It is not a cash balance and it does not discount the item price.
That distinction matters when you compare offers. A "$100 newcomer gift" made of five coupons with an $881 freight threshold is worth nothing on a 2 kg parcel. Read the thresholds before you read the headline.
Where the code goes
Registration is the normal place. The field may be labelled invitation code, referral code or promo code, and it is often collapsed behind a "have a code?" link. If you already have an account, check the account or coupon page before assuming the field has disappeared.
One rule is consistent across agents: the code binds at account creation. You cannot add it after your first order, and support will usually decline to retrofit it.
Why a code fails
- Expired campaign. Most codes live for 30–90 days.
- Use cap reached. The campaign ends when the allocation is gone, even if the page still shows the code.
- Region lock. Some packages only apply to EU or US accounts.
- Already applied. One code per account; a second attempt silently fails.
If a code fails, do not open a second account to retry. Duplicate accounts complicate parcel consolidation and can trigger a review at the worst moment — while your goods sit in the warehouse.
Invitation code vs coupon vs referral
A coupon is a discount you hold. An invitation code is what creates the coupon package at signup. A referral code is the same mechanism aimed at rewarding the person who invited you. In practice the platform uses the three words interchangeably, which is why the search results are a mess.
The useful question is not "which code is working" but "which threshold can my parcel actually clear". A $3.52 coupon with no minimum beats a $105.84 coupon that needs $881 of freight.
FAQ
Where do I enter a LitBuy invitation code?
On the registration form, or in account settings if the platform offers a post-signup field. Codes generally cannot be added after the account has placed its first order.
Does an invitation code give cash?
No. It usually unlocks a package of freight coupons with thresholds, plus a temporary account level. The value is in the shipping discount, not a wallet balance.
What if the code is rejected?
Codes expire, are region-limited, or are capped at a number of uses. A rejected code is usually an expired campaign, not a mistake on your part.
