How to order without leaking money
Nine steps from a pasted link to a delivered parcel. The two money leaks are at steps four and seven.
The order flow is not complicated. It is just long enough for a mistake to hide. Read the whole sequence once before you start, then follow it in order.
- Find the row. Use the item ID, not a screenshot. Confirm seller and variant.
- Choose the variant. Size and colour must match the QC photo later; note the exact name now.
- Pay for the goods. Prefer card. The platform holds the money until the seller ships to the warehouse.
- Wait for warehouse arrival. This is money leak one: a seller that ships slowly can outlast a coupon's expiry.
- Read the QC photos. Label, mat, close-up, scale. Reject within the window if the variant is wrong.
- Decide on consolidation. Combine parcels to amortise handling, but not so much that volumetric weight jumps.
- Pick the line. Money leak two: the cheapest per-kg line is not the cheapest parcel once handling and exclusions apply.
- Submit and pay freight. The quote at packing is final. Check the box dimensions before you approve.
- Track and receive. Customs silence is normal. Ask for a trace after seven days without a scan.
The two leaks, in numbers
A 3 kg parcel at $18/kg is $54 plus $9 handling. The same parcel on a "cheaper" $14/kg line with a $22 handling fee and a $12 reinforcement charge is $76. The headline rate was a decoy.
The second leak is timing. A 40% coupon that expires in seven days is only useful if the seller ships in three. Check the seller's historical dispatch time before you build a haul around a code.
Before you press pay
- Variant name copied exactly.
- QC state measured, not pending.
- Packed weight within 12% of the row.
- Line total includes handling and reinforcement.
