Shoes: batch first, box second
Five shoe rows, 760–1,180 g. The box is the hidden cost, and the batch name is the hidden risk.
Shoes are the only category where the shipping box is part of the product decision. A 760 g sneaker ships in a 300 g box unless you ask the warehouse to fold it, and folding changes the shape.
Batch names — GX, PK, LJR — describe factory runs, not brands. They are useful shorthand inside a seller community and nearly meaningless in a spreadsheet row without the seller name attached. Our rows carry both.
Before you add it to a parcel
Three shoes checks
Short and specific. Each one has saved a parcel at least once.
01Weight band
Shoes in this sample runs 760–1180 g. Add 120 g for packaging if the row only lists item weight.
02QC angle
Ask for the outsole and the size tag. The box condition matters if you plan to resell.
03Coupon fit
Check whether the coupon discounts freight or goods. A shipping coupon does nothing for a single light item.
FAQ
Shoes questions
How many shoes rows are in the index?
5 rows, with packed weights from 760 g to 1180 g and a median of $47.90.
Are the shoes weights measured?
They are warehouse packed weights from the partner catalogue where available, and conservative estimates otherwise. The QC badge tells you whether a photo set exists.
